Medicare Updates and Lawsuit to keep your Plan

Last night at the RMA meeting, letters were given to members who lived in the confines of the five boroughs. The letter, which is available on our website, states to the City Council our displeasure with changing the NYC Admin Code, section 12-126. Those members signed it and brought it to their city council person early this morning. Many reported back to me that they saw others dropping off the letter. The non-NYC Members wanted to know at the meeting what they could do?

Marianne Pizzitola responded to them and informed them that they too can contact the City Council via a telephone call. When you call them tell them you are a member of the Political Action Organization.

Let them know you DO NOT want them to change any of the parts of the NYC Administrative Code concerning our healthcare. (12-126). The City Council Representative Staff, who will be answering the phone, must take down your information and pass it along to their boss.

Now another question arose at the meeting; whom should we call?

Number One on the Hit Parade would be Adrienne Adams, who is the Speaker of the City Council, her number is (718) 206-2068.

Tell them you are a member of a Political Action Organization.

“The FDNY Retired Member’s Association”

They have to hear you out even if you do not live in the confines of NYC.

Below is a link to the City Council. I would choose one from each borough to call and tell them you DO NOT want them to change the NYC Administrative Code 12-126.

Good Luck to all.

We can defeat this if we all pull together.
